BETHESDA, Md. – Sedgwick Government Solutions (SGS) announced it has been awarded an enterprise-wide five-year, $71 million contract with the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to provide workers’ compensation (WC) medical case management services (MCMS). The services represent a continuation of Sedgwick Government Solutions’ longstanding relationship with the DHS, built over more than two decades and across multiple successful WC-MCMS programs.
Under the agency-wide blanket purchase agreement (BPA), SGS will provide an integrated solution comprising injury care support services, medical case management and a FedRAMP Ready information technology (IT) solution for case and reporting management.
Services include a 24/7 toll-free injury reporting hotline, initial and ongoing medical case management for new and existing long-term WC cases, coordination with medical providers, occupational medical physician reviews, assistance with limited duty assignments and return-to-work efforts, and a robust training program that incorporates best-practice training for agency staff. Additionally, SGS will provide specialty nurse services as needed and ensure smooth transitions to case management.
